Sonplas gasoline direct injection (GDI) high pressure fuel pump test stand. Two station test stand.

Station 1 is for testing:

  • Flow rate as a function of speed, inlet (lift) pressure, working pressure (outlet pressure), temperature and pump internal control valve position
  • Torque as a function of the above

Station 2 is an endurance station to determine:

  • Flow rate as a function of speed, inlet (lift) pressure, working pressure (outlet pressure), temperature and pump internal control valve position
  • Torque as a function the above

The two clamping stations are mechanically self-sufficient, have separate, individual test fluids circuits and are controlled by a PC.

Test stand is designed to operate using Exxsol D100 test fluid.

Wired for 480V with 480V transformed included (see images)

Year of manufacturing: 2012

Weight: 1650 kg (3600 lbs)

Original cost to produce this test stand was likely in the $300,000 to $500,000 range and would be much more today. Sonplas is one of the primary suppliers of test stands for production and development  to original equipment automotive manufacturers.

Some updates and additional components may be needed to make this stand fully functional. For example, the test stand currently has one "cam box" to drive the pump so you can only use one station at a time until an additional cam box is made or purchased.

Note this is a very large and heavy piece of industrial test equipment. You will be responsible for pickup/rigging/shipping.
